La Marquesa has beautiful landscapes, a diverse fauna and flora, as well as typical dishes and a great variety of activities todo with the family.

We all know it as "La Marquesa" but its official name is the Insurgente Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla National Park. It is located in the mayoralty of Cuajimalpa de Morelos within the CDMX, and the municipalities of Ocoyoacac, Huixquilucan and Lerma in the state of Mexico. The popular name, "La Marquesa", is due to the fact that the Marquesado del Valle de Oaxaca, a noble title given to the Spanish conqueror Hernán Cortés on July 27, 1529 by the Spanish Royal authority.

In the Marquesa there is a constructions of exquisite taste made up of Austrian-style cabanas. It is a place that seems enchanted since it is located in the middle of a wooded area, surrounded by pine trees, flowers, birds and embellished by a river and its waterfalls.
Other parallel activities include restaurants specialized in Mexican snacks, grilled trout, mushroom soups, marrow. Of course, most families go for the typical food of the place: quesadillas, rabbit and the famous red and green Toluca sausages. In some places with the sale of pulque and specialties such as maguey worm.


Some of the activities that you can do are:

In the 1,760 hectares there are several valleys: Valle del Silencio, Valle de las Monjas, Valle de la Amistad, Valle del Conejo and Valle de Salazar. Almost all the valleys have streams that are born in rocks, which can be reached and enjoyed in clear and cold waters.
